Where is live help when I need it?

Where can I find live chat when I need it? Sometimes it comes up but most of the time it doesn't. My hotend clogs solid every time I load the filament it has not worked once since I built the machine. I have cleened it and the nozzle over and over but everytime I load the filament it clogs instantly. The only thing I can think of is the the hot end is faulty in someway.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Cliff.

Did you check your hotend with a PID control ?

Follow the steps from this video.

https://youtu.be/CJtARpxLlj8

Then, what kind of material do you try to print ?

This page may help http://www.prusa3d.com/material-guides/

Or, to clean your nozzle, you can follow this video (and subscribe to this channel, if you didnot, this is a reference....) https://youtu.be/g8uvh6kvr54

Hope this helps.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I have just worked out what the problem was. The hotend assembly that came with my kit was not assembled properly, the heatsink was not screwed into the heater far enough which left a small gap between it and the nozzle. The PLA filament squeezed out between the two parts instead of through the nozzle, this then clogged it all up. Hopefully when I put back togethr it will work.

I will have a look at the links you a suggested anyway as I am sure it will be useful at some point.

Thanks Cliff.

Sad to hear that the heatbreak was not correctly screwed :( Pla is a nightmare to clean ;) ABS, with some acetone, is much easier to clean...
