How do I update and modify firmware?

So I just downloaded and installed the new 3.0.10 firmware and followed the instructions online on how to install it with the "Firmwareupdater" tool. However, once it completed installing the firmware, my printer froze and wouldn't respond. I restarted it and now it is just showing 2 lines like it does when it usually boots up except now it doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Also, if someone could help me understand how to modify the prusa i3 mk2 firmware that'd be great. I have a new wax filament i'm trying to use but it prints at 110c which is apparently too cold for the machine's firmware to allow it.

install newest drivers ( and then try to flash the firmware again, also ensure you have correct version (10 vs 13). I've flashed firmware few days ago and everything went fine. If you have any antivirus installed, try to disable it during flashing.

Regarding temperatures I would recommend to set the values in Slicing software, in the drivers package is included Slic3r Prusa Edition and you can easily adjust temperatures in tab Filament Settings.

Let me know, if it helps ;)

Wonderful! My printer works again! Thank you!

As for using the Slic3r to set the print temp, I don't think that will work. I tried to use Slic3r to set the print temp to 110 and started to print but i could see from the side of the extruder that the gear wasn't even moving. I believe this is due to one of the settings in the firmware that won't allow the extruder to push anything through unless its at a temp of 170 or higher. Would you have any suggestions to change that?

Hi Ryan,

you're welcome :) Regarding your filament, can you please share the manufacturer and specific type you have?
