Ekstruder running the wrong way.

When i try to load filamenet ekstruder 1 and 3 is running the wrong way. What to do?

Hi Christian,

please try a complete factory reset:

1) Press the "X" button once

2) Immediately after press and hold the knob until a beep sound

3) From the menu select "All data"

Then update to the latest firmware:

http://www.prusa3d.com/drivers

Also, check the wiring between Rambo board and Super Switch.

Hello,

I am facing the same issue with my Prusa Superswitch MK3.

I followed the recommended steps:

1) Press the "X" button once

2) Immediately after press and hold the knob until a beep sound

3) From the menu select "All data"

FW is already up to date (3.0.12)

Also checked wiring between Rambo board and Super Switch. Everything looks the same as state on 4B. Electronics Assembly (older version)

However problem was not soved for Extruder 1 and 3. When I select Unload Filament 1/3 respective Filament is loaded instead and vice versa.

Then I decided to invert polarity of Extruders 1 and 3 by changing wires of one coil and now direction is correct.

So could you please confirm that there is an issue with Superswitch MK3 (wiring on PCB or SW issue)?

In addition I'm facing a lot of problems with printing as sometimes no or not enough filemant is pushed out of the nozzle and one can hear respective extruder "clickering", especialy at Extruder 1 and 3.

Could you also help me with my 2nd issue?

Hi Andreas,

1) try to plug the Extruder 1 and 3 to other the socket, if they start to rotate correctly, the problem is with the board, if not the problem is with the wiring or the motor. Then please contact our support at info@prusa3d.com

2) If the filament isn't loaded correctly then:

A) Check you are printing at 205 °C for PLA

B) Check the bondtech pulleys are free of dust and other particles

C) Check the bondtech pulleys are aligned properly

D) Check the bondtech idlers are tightened, but not over tightened, see the manual.

I already tries this:

--> And yes, they start to rotate correctly!

That's why I change polarity f two extruder stepper motors connected to socket 1 and 3 which "solved" the issue.

I started to print "Marvin_2MM_PLA_3H.gcode" and "Gear_Bearing_4MM_PLA_3H.gcode" afterwards. Unfortunately I ended up with stopping the print as after some layers the respective filament (@Marvin: the one in Extruder 1 and @Gear: the ones in Extruder 1 and Extruder 4) obviously got stick in the Multiplexer, obvously between steel tube and hotend and even couldn't be unloaded. Needed to unscrew QSM-M5 fittings ot unload filament completely. Sticking seemed to happen sporadically while printing.

Hope you have any idea to solve that.

Btw. I know this is off topic here, but I had a lot of problems with my upgrade kit I recently got. The M3nS nuts did not fit in the Extruder-adaptor-MM and SuperSwitch-case as well. Spaces were too small and I had to work over the nuts

Hi Andreas,

try to adjust the screws on idlers, it might be possible they are too tight/loose and therefore the unloading procedure isn't completed.
