pinda not being detected

Doing XYZ calibration. Compete axis setup. During the front reference point check the point test does not detect table. checked cabling 3 times and is connected per manual.

Adjusted height of the pinda probe. Still same result. I'm at half the recommended height now.

Is there any way of testing the pinda probe to see if it is working.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi Larry,

yes, there is a way to test PINDA.

1) Turn on the printer

2) Go to the menu -> Calibration -> Show end stops

3) You should see this:

Take any steel object and touch the bottom surface of the PINDA probe, value for Z should change to 1 (see the red arrow).

Let me know, if it works ;)

After my submission I found this and the light on/off for the probe.

I let myself get mislead by the original setting procedure and I made an error.

To bad the instructions did not add possible dimensions to the setup procedure.

Any suggestion as to what the minimum clearancee between the table and probe should be.

When I got it to working the clearance was less than a millimeter.

Hi Larry, did you follow the chapter 9 and used a zip tie to set the initial distance?
