Changing of the thermistor

Hi,

During a print with a black PLA filament all the PLA stiffed around the hot end and for remove it I accidentally broke the thermistor wires that were absorbed in the mass.

I had another new thermistor, because I bought an MK2S and the MMU upgraded pack, but after the dissassembly of the old one I found out that the piece is blocked in its slot, surely from the PLA... any idea to suggest?

Thermistor for MMU and MK2/S is the same, difference is in the heatbreak inside the hotend.

Hi Jakob,

Many thanks, unfortunately the thermistor is glued in the slot from the PLA resin.... any suggestion about how could I set it free?

Thanks in advance

You can carefully heat up the heatblock with the heat gun and scratch the PLA away. Use pliers and be very careful not to get burn and also not to burn the remaining cables ;)
