Hello,

I'm a Noob and totally confused trying to follow #5 and 6. "To install Slic3r PE just unzip the downloaded package anywhere in your computer." Okay, did that. .. I think, (github.com/prusa3d/Slic3r/releases).

"Downloaded settings must be unpacked and copied to specific location," \AppData| is hidden in windows10 and it took time to figure that out and it is there.

"Overwrite all files in target location.

Run Slic3r from unzipped package. Ensure you are running the latest version downloaded from GitHub and that you have profiles with materials and settings for the Original Prusa i3 printer." !?!?!?, now I'm lost.

Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Paul,

you need to do following things:

1. Download latest Slic3r PE from GitHub

2. Download latest Slic3r PE settings from GitHub

3. Unzip Slic3r PE

4. Unzip Slic3r PE settings and copy them to specific location

5. Run Slic3r PE and check you are running the same version as you downloaded previously because if you have multiple Slic3rs in your PC it can happen, you will be running a different version.

Let me know, if there is anything, you need to explain in detail ;)

Jakub Dolezal -

You can use %appdata%\Slic3r as a shortcut for the AppData roaming folder in windows explorer.
