  • When you open the Slic3r program you can choose the settings in the top right section.

I cannot open the Prusa3D Slic3r MK2 from Installed folder in Windows 7.

is there any preparation needed to open this?

Image 1/2: Our installer created a folder with 3D objects on your desktop, so double click it. Image 2/2: For our example choose Batman.stl and click open.
  • Click add to open file picker window.

Image 1/1: Use the slider on the right to change layers.
  • If you click a Preview button on the bottom, Slic3r will switch to G-code 3D preview. In case the Preview is not working right away, check the Option File -> Preferences -> Background Processing is enabled. Otherwise, the Preview will not show any layers until you have exported G-code first.

  • Use the slider on the right to change layers.

  • Copy your .gcode file to your SD card and start printing ;-)

what if i need to start printing from my pc? or i should be always printing from SD card ? and if i must is there any way to copy the gcode from my pc to SD card using the printer cable?

I also want to know, what I am doing now is using repetier host to print from pc.
