Chapter 4 step 5 - inserting trapezoid nuts

In Chapter 4, z-axis assembly, step 5 - inserting trapezoid nut into the slot on the x-axis-idler. No matter what I do, the nut is at least 1 mm out of alignment, preventing me from being able to complete this step. I removed this piece from the rods for fear of warping them in my attempts to manipulate the nut into proper position but am still unable to get the nut to seat properly. I've done what I can to make sure there are no obstructions but due to the viewing angle, am unable to verify there is nothing in the way. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi Raymond,

can you please take few pictures? It might be either the nut or the idler part are distorted.

A coworker was able to help me get this part together. Wasn't easy but managed it without breaking the piece.

Good news! Enjoy the printer :)

Raymond. How did you manage it. I have the same problem. Just assembling my Mk3 after arriving last week.

5 extra minutes and sorted it :)
