Printer restart mid printing when I have the Pi zero w installed.

I have received my Prusa MK3 recently and i wanted the option to use the Pi zero w with it to be able to monitor the printing, and since then i had endless problems, i never managed to finish a print, with many files tried and many materials including the files from the SD i ended up with the printer restarting without obvious reason mid print? after that i uninstalled the Pi zero from the Printer, the next print was perfect, and so the one after and after, i had no problem at all ?

SO is there a problem with the OctoPrint working with Prusa following all setting and install from this guide ? is there any update to solve theses issues ?

Hi O_pi,

did you try to print using OctoPrint? (e.g. the G-code won't be stored on the SD card, but in the RPI Zero W).

Hi Jakub,

I tried several times and print won't start or the web keep loading forever without anything happening.

Finally, I get tired for many irregular stops, like filament feeding will stop and temperature drop and printer will continue print air! and many sudden reset for no obvious reason, recently i have uninstalled the PI Zero and installed Pi 3 B , connected directly to the serial port, same irregular things happens, maybe because i start the print then i close my computer or log in from my phone to check status or see the camera, and any action i do (connection pass through the PI or serial) cause problems or stop or reset the print.

Finally i gave hope on the Pi to control or start the printing and i only print from the SD card directly and use the PI , not connected to monitor the camera, and i have kept the PI plugged in but not connected in order to have the option to stop the printing remotely if i have noticed anything wrong through the camera ( only connecting then will stop everything ).

Maybe i will try Astroprint instead

This is strange, I'm running several printers on RPi Zero W and then 4 printers connected to one RPi 3, no issues at all. Try using a different SD card, download pure OctoPrint or AstroPrint. I'm sure you will find the issue.

thanks for your reply, i will give a go again, i will try to the connected RPi 3 and print
