How to test your filament sensor and wiring with a multi meter

So my filament sensor and wiring worked for some pre-flight tests and then died.

To test your sensor the schematics show the following

Red wire = +5V

Blk wire = Gnd

Blu wire = SCL (I2C bus) = 4.7k ohm pullup to 5V on the filament sensor

Wht wire = SDA (I2C bus) = 4.7k ohm pullup to 5v on the filament sensor

1) test procedure

look over the wire, and cuts or nicks in the wire

Ohm all wires and ensure low resistance each wire Red to red, etc, etc

Check no shorts from wire to wire

2) Test power is coming from the Rambo board

with the cable connected to Rambo board per assembly directions

check +5V on red wire with reference to blk wire

3) Test pullup resistors on filament sensor

with cable connected to the filament sensor per directions

uses resistance-setting to check from red-wire to blue and white wire. Should see 4.7Kohms on each wire

In my case blue-wire shows 2.4M ohms and pull-up is open (SCL pin)

Solution ask for new sensor board
