Home coordinates resetting with every error

Hi everyone,

I have purchased a pre-assembled Original Prusa i3 MK3 and have had several successful prints since.

After my most recent print however the entire coordinate system seems to have shifted on all three axes.

Using the Wizard or Selftest tools does temporarily restore the coordinate system, but as soon as there is an error in the pre-print setup (when the PINDA probe checks its nine points of reference) the Home coordinates which should be at X0,Y0,Z0 are shifted towards the extruders current position.

This leads to the extruder thinking that its print area is on the heatbed which it isnt (leading to the extruder wanting to move outside the coordinate system), and I am unable to reset the printer to its true Home coordinates. Running the Calibrate XYZ tool does not help either.

Due to the inability to manually move the X or Y axis into negative territory or reset the coordinate system the extruder is now stuck believing its home coordinates are in the center of the heat bed.

Has anyone had similar issues or any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Hi Paul,

try following:

go to the Settings and write down the value of the "Live adjust Z" then, flash the newest firmware, factory reset the printer (delete all data) and run through the calibration again.
