location for printer to be set up

I am about to buy the MK3… planning on keeping it in my garage. Not air conditioned, gets up to 100 degrees (F) in there, but I can keep it cool during a print. I am in Texas, so it is very humid. Will this environment be ok?

Also… I found the dimensions of the printer, but what I need to know is what size desk top it needs to be on. I imagine it needs some clearance.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi there,

Very humid conditions might not be the perfect one for a 3D printer (however mechanical parts will not corrode, we have protection for that). Yet if you purchase any 3D printer, you will have to store the filaments in dry conditions in the very least.

The 3D printer itself need roughly 50x60x60cm of work space :)

Hope that helps!

Tom
