Extruder Body Misaligned Motor Mount Holes: Step 27 Securing extruder

Extruder Body Misaligned Motor Mount Holes: Step 27 Securing extruder in place

A couple of us cannot mount the extruder because the top right m3x40 screw will not set into the motor mount. I have re-seated the motor twice and it appears that the channel in the printed part is about 1/2 mm off. No way this will go in. The screw is shaving metal off from the part of the motor mount hole closest to the axle and it will not go in. Visual inspection verifies that the screw hole of the motor mount is not centered in the channel or hole in the extruder body. We need a new part.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Thanks Jakub, I was not sure how to contact support so I used 2 methods, and you responded right away.

You are welcome ;) I talked with support yesterday myself and they are aware of your issue.

I found it was necessary to get this bolt started first, then start the other two, then tighten evenly.

The clamping force of bolts is supposed to keep things from moving, bolts are not meant to be the same as dowels, some printed bolt holes could afford to have more clearance (easier to insert the bolt) without detracting from the proper fixing of the assemblies. Certainly I found some printed holes unnecessarily tight.
