Z-Axis vibrates loudly durring movement

I seem to can't figure out why only the z-axis keeps vibrating and creating a really noticeable rattle noise during movement. I tried loosening and readjusting the z-axis top parts and the trapezoid nuts, I already squared up both the z-axis motor mounts with a square ruler but not sure where to go from there?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Hi Chad,

best would be to provide video of the Z-axis moving and doing that specific noise. Make sure nothing else in the room makes a sound.

Pleasse take a look: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qsxq7pfy7em129...

Wait for the Z axis to come down. Part of the noise comes from PSU... But is this normal?

I would check the alignment of the smooth rods, sounds like a bearing binding slightly on the smooth rods. Maybe disassemble them and check the rods for straightness? Even a slight bend could cause binding and vibration.

To any still having loud vibration...i thought it was my z axis too, and it was the loudest when the bed was all the way to the back of the unit....odd . So i started thinking its it the z axis at all. I turned my attention to the lcd screen and manually held it closer to the frame during print calibration. Keep in mind this sucker was already screwed in tight.

But wow did the noise stop once i did that...so i unscrewed the lcd from the frame and added some plastic washers in between the screws and the frame and the lcd casing and the frame and 99% of the noise was gone.

Then another full calibration has given me a 100% quiet machine.

Hope any of this helps.
