Is there a way to find out if the profiles have been updated? Or do they get updated at all?

The profiles do get updatedfrom time to time, but not as frequently as in our PrusaSlicer.

Hi, Is this still valid for the Mk3 I3S ? Or are the built in profile for Simplify 3D better?

Mark Exton - Reply

Hi Mark,

in case you have MK3 or MK3S, we have a tweaked profile. I'm sure it will print better, than the built in profile. Btw supported printers are listed in the first step.

This profile works on Prusa MK3S with MMU2S installed?

If no, how I can use the MK3S + MMU2S with a slicer different than the PrusaSlicer (eg. Simplify or Cura)?

Thanks

Nico - Reply

Hi Nico,

our profiles are compatible only with the single material printers. If you want to use MMU2S, I recommend using the PrusaSlicer. We are using custom code to slice the multi-material prints, so I doubt it will work with any other slicer.

I used to think I couldn’t print without Simplify 3D and of course I paid $150 for it but after a week and a half of using Prusa Slicer I think I like it as least as much and maybe better!

Which printer do I select in the S3D “Configuration Assistant” dialog?

JonG - Reply

Hello, always go for Original Prusa, if there is the option.

Hi there

I have just used your profile for S3D - I am running the latest version of S3D and your latest version of firmware on my prusa MK2.5S printer and what I have found is that when I run a print job by selecting it on the SD card once installed into the prusa LCD slot the job starts off with out getting all temps of bed and nozzle to temp. I have had to refer back to S3D STANDARD MK2 Profile. Can you help with this?

Thank you

Hello,

A small piece of code is missing at startup, the one that puts the wire in the extruder. The sequence is too short, the thread does not have time to go down well, unlike the PrusiaSlicer sequence. Version S3D (4.1.2) FFF of 10/4/2019 that of your link. What can I do to change this part. Thank you

Hello, I’m afraid you need to address this question to the S3D support or ask around in the forum. We provide the profiles as-is.
