Same here. I am doing the R3 update, and the M3x18 will not reach.
Even with some trimming, it still broke during installation.
A couple of the screws had heads too big to seat below the surface of the heatbed. Luckily there were spares in the spare parts bag that had the properly sized head.
Assuming the PEI sheet goes on before the self test????
Crude, it just hit me, I am going to have take all that apart to add the RPi Zero!! That was a pain. Took an hour to fit it all in, in anything close to an orderly fashion.
I got 2 different spool holders. The 2 piece injection molded parts fit perfect. The one piece, printed part does not fit, too tight. It is going to break before it snaps on. Will have to whittle on it with a knife.
30 minutes. Wondering how tight the bed should really be?
Woohoo! 15 minutes!
An hour and a hlaf, that part was pretty tedious. Putting the nuts in at 16 & 17 could probably be pushed down in order some. They were n’t used till quite a bit later, and kept falling out.
No way to get this in by hand, but a pair of channel locks worked as sort of arbor press, and popped right in.
