My sleeve holder that came from the MK2.5 upgrade doesn’t look like the picture. This new one looks much nicer, too bad it wasn’t included in the upgrade pack or was mentioned in the instructions so I could have printed it _before_ disassembling the printer.
“Carefully the unlock safety pin”
Missing “push in” after “carefully”.
“The nozzle-fan will be replaced with a new one.”
Sounds incorrect since a new nozzle fan is not included in this upgrade kit.
I had severe problems with adhesion to the new print bed. Cleaning it with 99.5% IPA did not help. A good rub with acetone did the trick though.
I would assume that the build plates comes “ready to print”, but not so in my case.
Oh, you meant the thermistor cable connector, green square on the image… “Red up”
“ensure that the red wire is closer to the extruder thermistor.” Yeah… So for us that doesn’t know the board layout of this PCB, would that be “red up” or “red down”?
Very tight fit with the 10mm screw, but possible. Easier when the nylon filament is attached which the instructions fails to mention. A tip is to take a long screw and push it through one of the wholes first as a guide. Another tip is to hold the nut in place from the rear by screwing it on a single thread on a long screw and pressing it in from the back. Hard to explain…
The first two steps and first two images contradict them self (the order).
Put the right screw in before mounting the cover, it can be a hassle the other way around.
Great idea to do it before tearing the working printer apart! This should have been step zero.
