Couldn’t find the two M3x20 in the fastener bag but located them in the “5. E-AXIS - MK3S” bag
- a bit confusing to see an image of a fully assembled extruder when we’re just done disassembling it.
- typo: ‘F.I.N.D.A.’ sensor
Good point, especially when later on it says: “throw away all the plastic parts”; would be a real shame if you threw the pulley away with the idler…
The shaft comes out real easy if you apply pressure on the shaft towards the gears.
XYZ calibration thought nothing about it and said the bed is perpendicular!
By the way: thickness of paper used: 0.1mm per sheet.
Just like Thomas (see above) my platform is also very slightly bent. When in the middle of the bed having the nozzle to just touch a single sheet of paper, at the all 4 sides I need four pieces of paper to get the same amount of friction.
All spacers are in place, all screws fastened. Removed the heat bed to see if anything was pushing it up in the middle but no luck. Installed it again, same problem.
Any advice? (haven’t run the XYZ calibration yet).
Mine is on, clipping ever so slightly. Couldn’t get it on at first but while pushing it down I also wriggled it a bit to the left and right (along the X axis), that did the trick.
Mine fits nicely, height is ok
Yeah, mine (received last week) has the MK3 marking, but very hard to read; needed a torch in the correct angle to be able to see it
The 18mm will do nicely for the top nut, but you have to pull the nut in before the 18mm screw can reach it. Take a short screw, add a washer and screw it in from the the back side. Tighten it till the nut is fully seated (but do not use excessive force). Remove the short screw and washer and use the 18mm screw to mount the fan. You’ll find that the end of the screw now levels nicely with the top of the nut.
